Enterprising Characters

Enterprising Characters
1. Character Types:

Bounty Hunters - hired gun characters that operate through violent means and represent a more physical aspect of completing contracts (kidnap, execution, dead or alive, protection) and work for The Black Sun crime syndicate.

Mercenaries - ex-military or ex-policing personnel that operate partly within violent means as hired guns or as enforcer agents and represent a more physical aspect of completing contracts (kidnap, execution, dead or alive, protection) and work for The Black Sun crime syndicate.

Smugglers - hired to transport banned or illegal goods or weapons or person/being and work for The Black Sun crime syndicate.

Pirates - outlaws that run across the galaxy, who ambush, violently attack, steal or take control of ships for their personal gain or to fulfill a contract. They work for The Black Sun crime syndicate.

Businessmen - Ever wanted to run your own cantina? How about a spaceport? Now you can with The Black Sun! Businessmen open their own business or join an already existing one to make some serious credits.

Bankers - At The Black sun, bankers are in high demand as they keep the wheels of the machine running. Whether setting up a portfolio or giving out a loan, Bankers are the top echelon of financial gain. All credits pass through their hands. They are here to help you, but watch out. Skip out on a payment and you are in big trouble!

Investors - If playing the numbers game is more to your liking, become an Investor. At The Black Sun, investors stake claims, buy and sell stocks, and buy and sell property to watch the money grow. Buy low and sell high!

2. No freelance/unaffiliated characters are allowed at SWRPG.

3. Characters must be original and may not copy any existing character.

4. A SWRPG wiki page must be created for your character for hire listing your character background, All gear, ships, armor and weapons must be within the board timeline and listed on the Wookieepedia.

5. There are ranks based on their documented completed contract threads at SWRPG. All characters for hire start at a Novice rank level. The ranks are as follows:

Novice - Can complete starter level difficulty contracts/tasks
Expert - Can complete moderate difficulty level contracts/tasks
Master - Can complete dangerous and top level contracts/tasks

6. There is a "no killing without permission" rule at SWRPG, which makes it challenging for a roleplay environment with bounty hunters in it. Clear communication and a workable rule set can still allow for creative storytelling at SWRPG.

7. Weapons Usage Against Targets or Lifeforms:

a. If I fire off Stun Rings or launch a concussion grenade at my intended Acquisition or Target, is that an instance hit on the rper's character and can I attack to destroy them?

If firing off a Blaster/Rifles (with the setting on Stun) or wrist rocket/dart systems (using Paralyzing/Poisonous darts) or concussion grenades, you CAN NOT destroy them outright. Your Target or Acquisition will be unconscious or suffering the effects of the Paralyzed/Poisoned (if Paralyzing/Poisonous dart is used) and the roleplay will continue from there.

b. Is my Acquisition or Target dead if I attack them from point blank range by firing off Blaster shots or darts?

If stated that you fired off darts or laser blast shots at close or point blank range, you will have to WAIT for your opponent to reply to the attack.

Instant destruction of a character or Target will NOT be tolerated.

(With Exception: The two parties involved in the action or battle have agreed to the destruction of their character in question before hand.)

c. Can I use fragmentation or concussion grenades, thermal detonators, and so on?

All small types of grenades that explode in a small area can be used, but you can not toss in a bomb into a room or area and call a hit that destroys the targets or the beings in the room or place. Actions must be role-played out.

Classes of Contracts/Tasks
All contracts/tasks start at Threat Level 1 and gradually progress based on your boss's satisfaction with how you detail your contract completion to them.

Threat Level 1 : Novice level - Starter level difficulty, lower payout, required to build experience and reputation. You may not apply for upper Threat Levels until you have completed enough of this level's contacts/tasks to your boss's satisfaction.

Threat Level 2 : Expert level - Moderate difficulty, good payout. These contracts/tasks are considered moderately dangerous, and have evaded notice long enough to earn them a higher threat level.

Threat Level 3 : Master level - Difficult and Dangerous, above average pay. These contracts/tasks are not to be trifled with. Extremely dangerous, they may lead you on an exhausting chase, only to find yourself falling into their trap. Proceed with caution.

Payout of Credits :
