      Fancy glowsticks: Lightsaber 101(Sarisha)

      0 Not allowed!
It had been a few days after he taught Sarisha how to use the Force. He hoped she'd been keeping up on her practice and with that learning how to focus herself better and the skills she learned from him. Jack had practiced his own skills again and again in those few days. Plus he figured he'd keep up on his own lightsaber skills. Today he'd be teaching her the basics and though he had a notion that she wouldn't really utilize the aspects of lightsaber combat, it didn't hurt to know them. Least she had to use them and didn't know anything about it. As the clown Sith made his way into the training grounds he walked over to one of the racks of training sabers and picked one up. Twirling it in his hand he then looked at the others and smirked.

Jack remembered fondly of his first time having a training blade and even learning how to use a lightsaber. Back in the days of his former life. Training under Darth Zeta and into his own self as he was now. Which in time he became an equal to his former Master. To which Jack learned from many others. All had something to teach him which he knew would further him in his adventures. It did indeed.

Standing alone he waited for Sarisha to appear. Wondering how she'd fare with learning how to use a lightsaber. He didn't wanna go too easy on her but didn't wanna brutally beat her down either. Maybe a simple approach would be good. He hoped anyways.

The last few days has been entertaining to say the least for the Vixen. She had taken all of the skills that Jack had taught her and started experimenting with them straight away, usually on other members of the faction. Oh, she hadn't caused any real damage to anyone but she must of irritated at least half of them with her humorous use of the Force. The feeling that she got from using the mystical energy was amazing and she felt such a rush when she used it, even if it was just for a brief moment or two. It felt so natural for her and she had amazingly found herself actually looking up other skills and powers that she could learn later on, much to her own surprise. She found herself feeling eager to expand her knowledge although it only seemed to extend to using the Force and little else.

Today's lesson, however, didn't interest her quite as much and Sarisha wasn't as enthusiastic about using a lightsaber as she was with the Force. Blade to blade combat wasn't a strength of hers. She was a creature of cunning and wit, not an anger filled lunatic. A creature of lust and passion, not an incensed barbarian who just swung at the first thing they saw. She understood the need to use a saber though, despite all that and she was intelligent enough to know that there maybe a time where she found herself in a situation that she couldn't talk or......use other means to get out of.

Eventually entering the training grounds herself, Sarisha travelled to the spot where Jack had told her to meet him and soon came across the clown, twirling a blade in his hand,

"I always thought that you'd be good at twirling your blade," she joked wickedly, grinning at the Knight.

Jack then saw Sarisha approach him and mention about him being good at twirling his blade and he laughed, "Yeah. I'm a clown of many talents."

He then stopped twirling the blade in his hand and then held it at his side. Looking over at the other blades on the rack there were colors of red and one that was purple to chose from. Well, that was one he'd seen anyways. There might be other colors there but for now Jack knew that there were red ones and that lone purple one. Although other colors might be there but he had a red one. One that pulsed with energy. Unstable crystal which was the reason it did so. But Jack wasn't afraid of it exploding. No, it was just holding a lot of energy within. It was fine.

"You ready for today? Today we dabble into these." He then held the training blade up and then smirked, "Some call them fancy glow sticks. Others Jedi weapons...but they are lightsabers. A tool of Force users. Able to cut through most material without a second thought."

"Looks more like one of those laser torches that people use to see in the dark," the Vulpine answered with a grin, "I'm not in to the whole hack and slash thing but I'll give it a shot."

Wanting to test out her powers a bit, she beckoned to one of the training blades that were on the rack and with a touch of the Force, it came flying towards her. She caught it easily enough and spent a few moments just looking at the hilt, finding herself intrigued by the patterns that were decorating the blade. She couldn't comment on the power of the weapon but she could at least admire the appearance of it. The Vixen was always drawn to beautiful objects and creatures and Sarisha had to admit that she it was a fine piece of work although the Apprentice reckoned that she could probably do better herself, given the time and whether she could focus long enough to actually do it.

With a smile, she then activated the blade by pressing the button on the hilt, causing a red beam to come out of the other end.

"Pretty," she then said simply, her gaze focusing on her own blade for a moment.

"Sort of like that I suppose." Jack said then added after she mentioned the hack and slash aspect, "Although hacking and slashing with the form I'll teach you isn't mandatory. This is all about disarming your opponent for the most part. Also there are 'target zones'."

The clown then watched her display of her abilities and then smirked. Winking as she then looked it over and said it was pretty he then thumbed the button on his own. As the blade hissed to life in his right hand he then twirled it around for a moment. It was a bit heavier then his own blade which wasn't a horrible thing. It wasn't like he wasn't used to weight as some of his knives were either lighter or heavier then his lightsaber. But, again, he was quite used to such weight and Jack while he was outside of Munto Codru had a harness with his knives.

He then brought the saber nearly parallel to himself and then holding the blade in one hand he then pointed to himself along his arm, legs and then to his torso. These were such 'target zones' on the body. Places that those who were learning Shii-Cho had to think of and target. The exercise being that they aim for those zones because they could help to disarm the opponent, again the whole idea of Shii-Cho. Some who had mastered the form knew how to disarm someone in no time at all. Even if they knew better forms and more aggressive ones then others. He'd heard of that but never saw it himself. Or had fought anyone who did it. Yet anyways.

"These are the target zones." Jack said after he stopped pointing at places on himself, and then winked at her, "And yes there are two good sized target zones I'm looking at right now."

She knew what he meant. He was trying to be coy when he said that, but he knew how her personality was and how dirty her mind could be. The last time he had been laughing on the ground so hard he actually did wet his pants. Never thought that would happen but it did, and if anything he was entertained by her. She had the same humor as him. Though in reality she wasn't as morbid with her own as he could be.

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't aim for them," the Apprentice answered with a smirk, chuckling dirtily at his joke, "There are many who would consider it to be a crime."

Sarisha had listened while he described how the style worked and she cocked her head to the side, following him easily enough. It sounded quite simple and the idea of disarming without causing real harm was intriguing to her. It wasn't as if she was against violence or anything, she just didn't get the same thrill from using weapons as she did with the Force or during her other activities. That was what life was all about to her and smacking two lightsabers against each other just didn't seem to give her that feel. Perhaps when she actually tried it for herself, she would change her mind but for now, the Vixen was a little unimpressed by the whole deal. However, she knew that it could save her life one day so she would give her best effort and try to master this form or at least become good enough to get by.

"I notice that your target zone isn't included in that list,"
she added, playfully joining in with his disgusting sense of humour.

Jack then tried not laughing although the grin he was trying to hide said otherwise, "That...would...be...a crime."

Shaking his head he couldn't help but laugh then. If only for a few seconds anyways. Once he explained it enough he figured she had listened enough and the Sith Lord kept holding his saber in two different ways. Well, not so much two styles he just leaned the saber to his right, then did so to his left. In a unique way he was ambidextrous and could use both hands. But in truth he was right handed. Contrary to his template who himself was left handed. There were a few others around the Sith he knew were left handed. Far and in-between but they were there nonetheless. Left handed people were few and in that sense unique enough. Though he heard Sarisha mention that his 'target zone' wasn't mentioned and he then tried to stifle the laugh but he couldn't and it seemed to come out as a snort.

"Yeah...once you hit that...may as well just say screw it...just kill me now. I like mine too much." He then winked, then said in a serious tone, "Alright then. Seems like you've heard enough of me blabbering on about it. Why don't we get down to it?"

For a moment or two, Sarisha just swung her training blade around a few times to try and get the weight of it but the strange thing was that there wasn't any weight at all. It almost felt like she was swinging a blade of nothingness which was weird to say the least and the Vulpine almost fell over when she put any strength behind it. Her eyebrows rose and her tail swished from left to right in confusion. She had no idea what the blasted thing was made of but that was a question for another time perhaps. For now, she just wanted to learn to use it and move on to more fun activities. The temple was always an entertaining place for those who were trained and there was always someone that she could toy around with or as it sometimes turned out, they ended up playing with her. Either way was fine.

"Show me how it's done Jack," she answered with a grin, "Damn this blade is odd though, it's completely weightless."

She then gazed once more at the weapon and then added, "Trust the Sith to come up with something as weird as this to fight with."

Jack then smiled and nodded, "I'll show you. But the whole blade itself is...plasma."

He then stepped forward as to get her ready to defend herself. The Sith Lord would be the first to go through this part and he would show her how to defend herself at first with a lightsaber. When he felt like she knew how to defend herself properly he would then let her take the reign of attacking her opponent. Of course, he wasn't gonna go completely easy on her. That wasn't his way of doing things. Even to someone he cared about he wasn't easy on. Not wanting to baby them at all as the same wasn't done to him. Raising his blade over his head he then readied to attack but before he did he then smirked.

Coming down he then aimed to slice her in half. Then again these would just simply burn you and not cut in half. But she didn't know that. So he came down hard with the blade and then afterwards spun the blade in his hand and twisted it to his right slicing across to go from her right shoulder to the left one. Then stepped back and then swept low to her knees before he then spun around to face her once more.

It seemed that the Force was going to aid her as Sarisha soon felt almost like a warning as Jack started his attack. She managed to bring her blade up to defend his vertical slash and knock it away although the strange feeling she got when the two blades met almost put her off. It was bizarre to fight with such weightless items and made things a bit awkward. When he then attacked at shoulder height, she brought her blade across from left to right in order to batter away his second attack although it was as clumsy as you could imagine. She was sure that most wielded these things with grace but the Vulpine moved like a baby deer trying to stand up for the first time, it was painful. His final strike was surprising and Sarisha ended up having to jump over it, unable to get her blade to block it quickly enough.

"Tch, going low? Why am I not surprised?" she said with a chuckle, trying to accustomise herself with the blade.

Jack then laughed, "I can't go easy on you, right? This must be an exercise...like if you were sort of fighting a real battle per se. Your opponent won't go easy on you...so...I cannot."

The clown then circled her for a moment judging her stance. She seemed to be alright with it, and if she practiced enough on things then she would be able to hold her own in a real fight if it ever occurred. Although Sarisha was far from perfect with the whole thing, Jack knew she'd hold her own in other ways. Not that he'd be there to always help her. He'd be there from far away or else watch up close. Then again, he knew that his temptation could be madness if he thought of his apprentice in other ways. That road he didn't need to go down at all. Not again. The Sith Lord had one student who he had a relationship with although they understood that their relationship went far beyond physical. It was as if the Force had a funny joke to play on them both.

The clown then motioned for her to attack him this time. As he readied himself to defend against her attacks he then noted her stance once more. She wasn't in a seemingly attacking stance either. Which wasn't a bad thing. It just meant he would need to watch in case she used things that were more unorthodox or things that he himself used at times. So with a smirk he then kept his red eyed gaze on her.

The Vulpine just stuck out her tongue as he fired back with a quip. Sarisha doubted that anyone would be able to fight her properly, due to not only her Force gifts but her natural ones as well. There was always a trick that she could play in order to swing things in the way she wanted them and she was confident in her ability to get her way. The thought of actually facing a Jedi made her laugh in one respect. What would happen if she didn't attack them and just played around with them instead? She knew that they would be expecting her to strike first and the thought brought a mischievous smile to her face. She didn't think of them as enemies, just as puppets that she could dangle and mess around with. In fairness though, wasn't that how she thought of everyone?

When it was time for her to attack, she moved in to a more aggressive stance as though she was about to strike but instead whipped her fluffy tail around and batted it in Jack's face to try and put him off. It was only then that she tried an attack. She first attempting a vertical strike, bringing the blade down towards his right shoulder, before taking a step back and then aiming a horizontal slash from her left to her right, aiming for Jack's torso.

In all fairness he didn't think she'd use her tail on him. When she actually did and took an aggressive stance when she began he was actually quite amused. As unorthodox as that was it wasn't all bad not in the least. She took the initiative to attack and with that she was learning to defend herself from whatever it was. Then countering with such tactics like that and throwing him off. When her tail swished in his face he then felt it tickle his nose and he then stepped back half a step and then sneezed. His eyes had closed and he didn't see the blade come down onto his shoulder and it singed his shirt and burned right through it.

Although to most that would be cause to step back or stop or whatnot that wasn't the case with the clown. To him that was just a tickle. The Sith Lord had a high tolerance for pain as the nerve receptors in his body were almost non-existent. Again his body mutated from either the Dark Side itself when he was created or else it was just genetic tampering. Either way, Jack in truth liked pain and he was a sadistic individual in the first place. Maybe in some way it was just his madness and psychopathic tendencies that also made his pain tolerance high. It was then that Sarisha had sliced across toward his torso. The distraction was only for a moment as he finally got his bearings again after he sneezed and saw the blade coming toward his gut.

Moving back out of the way, although just barely as the tip of the blade seared through his shirt and created a small fire that didn't last but a moment. It fizzled out within those seconds and he then smelled the oh so familiar aroma of burnt hair and flesh although it wasn't as bad as when she hit his shoulder. Not that Jack cared about either smell when it happened as he then looked to Sarisha and nodded his head smiling. With that he then disengaged his blade and then chuckled. Looking down at his shirt he then pulled it off his head and threw it.

"I never did like that shirt. Even though someone did go through the trouble of picking it out." Jack said as he then thumbed the trigger to ignite it once more, "Not bad at all."

His pale white chest was clearly visible now. Although what Sarisha didn't see was the Sith Assassin tattoo on his back. But she would if he turned his back. But for this moment he had to give her praise on her attack. The clown didn't think that she'd use such unorthodox things but for some reason it worked for her.

"So that's what it takes to get your shirt off," Sarisha answered wickedly, her tail swishing with amusement.

She hadn't expected her attacks to have been that successful and was surprised by the damage that she'd been able to do with a couple of strikes. It gave her a great boost in confidence and she was already feeling more comfortable with the blade. Her posture seemed to relax a bit and her shoulders loosened up, the tension that she'd originally felt melting away. The Vulpine might of made fun of saber combat at the start but she was beginning to enjoy it, something that she hadn't anticipated. Perhaps it was just a confidence issue, which was weird for her. Normally, she was confident in everything she did. Whatever it was, she was beginning to get to grips with things and already her mind was pondering her next attack, even though it was Jack's turn. Her amber eyes though were starting to blaze with excitement and adrenaline though.

What was even more surprising though was her reaction to him being cut as she'd felt a pang of joy at that moment. She'd always been a passionate creature but a sadist wasn't a word she'd use to describe herself. However, she couldn't deny that there was something about causing pain that seemed to spark something within her. Perhaps it was a sign that she should test out her dominating side more often.

"I guess it's your turn again," she then said, anticipating his attack.

Jack laughed at that as she spoke of what it took to get his shirt off. The clown then blinked his red eyes while he noted her stance again trying to see if there was a weakness in it. Not find anything off putting in her stance thus far that was a good thing in his eyes. Jack then circled her as he kept his red eyed gaze on her. As Sarisha spoke of him going once more he then laughed out loud. True, in this part of the session it would be but she got the hint of things more then she thought and she at least knew how to defend herself. Attacking wasn't too bad either and she managed to get him even though he was more experienced. Then again, her unorthodox tactics threw him off. Which was a good thing.

"Yes, that is true. But...one must prepare themselves for anything and everything." Jack stated with a sinister smile on his pale white face.

With that, the Sith Lord then pulled his saber parallel to his face. Looking at her once more the clown then jumped aided with the Force into the air, a giveaway that he was using Ataru. He wanted Sarisha to be prepared for anything. Even another style of combat just in case she had to defend herself from anyone wielding such a style. As he came down, saber over his head he then came down to try and cleave her in two. Well, if it was a real blade that is. Truth be told it would just burn more or less. But he was seeing how she would fare against a style she had no idea of. As he came down after slicing down over his head he then jumped to her left side and sliced toward her shoulder.
