Drinking the Night Away (Open To 1)

      0 Not allowed!
There was a lively atmosphere among the patrons that evening. The cheerful became even more so, the surly became cheerful and even the most anti social of them were at least talking to those around them. It was as if something was bringing the friendliness out of them, no matter how hard they tried to hide or bury it. A curious sensation and not one that was entirely natural. Oh no, the cause of it was sitting at the bar, downing what must of been her tenth alcoholic beverage of the evening, allowing her natural affinity with pheromones to affect all those around her. Was she doing it out of malice? No, not particularly, she was just amusing herself more than anything. The atmosphere of the place had been rather cold when she'd arrived, much like the weather outside and from what she'd been told, the personality of those who called this place home and she'd decided to change that.

Sarisha had heard a great deal about Tom's from a blonde haired friend of hers and her curiosity had gotten the best of her. The fact that she was sitting in the middle of the so called enemies of the Sith meant nothing to her and she didn't feel the slightest touch of anxiousness or fear. She knew that the Jedi wouldn't do anything about her presence unless she decided to attack those in the bar and so, she simply sat and drank, much to be bemusement of those around her. It was unlikely that they'd ever seen anyone quite like her before and she had no problem with satisfying the interest of those who she found glancing in her direction. The Vulpine was used to being the centre of attention after all and that always gave her ego a bit of a boost.

"Another?" Tom asked her, raising an eyebrow at the collection of empty bottles that were perched beside Sarisha.

"Keep them coming," the Apprentice said with a swish of her tail, "I want to be able to make a pyramid out of these bottles."

Neo had walked up to the Tavern with just a green t-shirt on and black jeans as his boots sank into the fresh snow seeming to dance toward the ground. His red eyes then looked to the door as he avoided people who were friendly when the came out but reverted back to a more quiet state or whatever state they'd been in before hand walking into said tavern. Raising his eyebrow his red eyes then saw others come out and one go past him inside nearly bumping into him. Shaking his head the Padawan then blinked his eyes before he walked to the door and opened it. The warmer atmosphere hit him immediately and he then felt it's heat when he entered. Although the clone of Jack wasn't particularly social at times, he was starting to with a few here and there.

Walking up to the bar itself he then saw Tom, the barkeeper and owner, getting another drink for a Vulpine, which Neo wouldn't know what that word was or what it meant. Although he found her appearance interesting. Breathing in through his nose he then shook his head once more trying to figure out what the frell was going on. It was like a buzz from alcohol but he didn't touch a single drop. Not even before he came inside. He felt...well...calmer and more wanting to say something then just wanting to whisper to Tom what he wanted over the bar. Sitting down he then found himself smiling a bit. Again, an oddity for him since he usually had a resting face that wasn't off putting or wanting attention, Neo just did that so he felt comfortable around people. Of course he was starting to more he was here and his anti-social and anxious attitude were slowly leaving. He was finally getting used to being alive and his training with N'yssa was going well. The clone was learning about the Force and he felt himself more comfortable with who he was then ever.

Noting that the Vulpine wanted to "build a pyramid" with the bottles he then smirked a bit at that. Again, strange for him to say the least. He shook it off and as Tom walked toward him he then smiled at the barkeeper and this time didn't motion for Tom to lean closer to him. Usually Tom remembered Neo was a bit shy around folks and he understood. The barkeeper accompanied many who came through with all sorts of personalities and whatnot. Neo was no different. Well, save that he looked almost exactly like Jack. Albeit just a few less features as the clown looked much different, and Neo was what he Jack looked like before Tal sliced his face nearly clean off. The clone was pale white as the clown, green hair, red eyed, all that obviously. Personality wise, they were different. As Neo looked at Tom with his red eyed gaze he then ordered a few fries and then ordered a glass of juice. Today wasn't his day to drink, unless someone offered him one. He was told that was 'being polite' and not refusing when someone offered something.

Something a friend of his told him when he first came here. She was gone now and he wondered if she was alright. Not that he loved her or anything, but she helped him more then he could thank her for. Then again, the night together they had he'd remember forever and again he was just wanting to make sure she was safe. She was a best friend to him more or less. Although he didn't realize or know that the Vulpine next to him was familiar with her as well. So as Neo sat there and ate his fries he then briefly cast a glance at the Vulpine and watched her tail laughing a bit to himself. That also was unusual for him to just simply laugh like that. It was pheromones that were making him this way. Not that he could do anything about it to stop it.

The Vixen didn't turn towards the male straight away when he took the seat next to her although her cat like ears picked up on what he and Tom said to each other. She was always aware of her surroundings, even if it didn't seem that way to others. It was just something that she'd pick up from the years travelling with her father, before joining the Empire. He seemed to be a bit shy, judging from the quiet way that he made his order and that brought a smile to her face. Shyness tended to melt away when faced with her pheromones and she briefly increased the amount that she released, just to help him to take the edge off a little further. Being shy was sweet and all that but the Vulpine was more fond of those who were a little more sure of themselves. Fortunately, there was no shortage of folks like that on Munto Codru as most Sith had ego's the size of skyscrapers.

Tom soon returned with her drink after serving him and passed it over to her. Within moments, she had quickly removed the top and took a long draught from it, savouring the taste. There weren't many that she'd met who could go toe to toe with her when it came to drinking although she always found it fun when someone tried their luck against her. In fact, the only person that she could remember who had managed to draw with her was blondie. They never actually finished their competition and ended up playing a different type of game instead. One that the both of them certainly remembered fondly.

      "Like my tail, do you?"
she said once she'd lowered her drink, turning her golden eyed gaze towards the male next to her. There was a teasing tone to her voice and a smirk crossing her features. Confidence was never something that she was short of.

Neo then breathed in as normal and didn't take into effect that her pheromones were making him more social then he usually was. Though it wasn't bad since he needed to be more social anyways and his anxiety and anti-social personality were what were holding him back. Neo knew his limits on everything although he was naturally an acrobatic type, thanks to Jack, he was also quite gifted with the Force. He was just starting of course but the clone was getting the hang of it piece by piece. As the clone Padawan ate his fries he then heard her speak which made him somewhat calmer and he then laughed and had to drink a sip of juice to keep from choking on his fries.

Turning his red eyed gaze to her he then quipped, "Yeah, makes me wish I had one. Would be nice for hanging onto a tree branch...or keeping balance while walking on one's hands across it."

Neo then laughed at that and then took another sip of juice before he set it down. Widening his eyes before he then shook the thought away he didn't know why he was being like this. Again, he wasn't thinking of it. But, then it hit him. She must be a Zeltros...or whatever the species was. It was something in Jack's ship he'd written down as Neo known of Desiree mentioning them, and Jack went to Zeltros during his days. Of course, Jack partied too hard and couldn't remember half the night before which he'd scribbled random things on that entry. Not that Neo could confirm that at this point. She was quite interesting to say the least. He'd not seen anyone who looked like her.

"Your a...a...interesting sort, I've never met anyone who looked like you, or seen for that matter." He said curiously, his tone much like her teacher, but without the insane laughter or joking words he had, "I feel kind of...strange. More social then normal...but...I suppose it ain't all bad."

"I doubt you'll find anyone else who looks the way I do either," Sarisha answered with a grin, "Dad was Amaran and my mum was half Human, half Zeltron. Lord knows what that makes me, a rancor's uncle perhaps?"

There was something familiar about the way he spoke and the Vulpine's ear twitched in thought as she tried to figured out who he reminded her of. He had a distinctive tone and after a few moments, the answer came to her. He sounded just like that crazy clown who had taught her the ropes, Jack. As she glanced at him, she could almost see an odd kind of physical similarity too as though he was a non madman version of him. She could of been wrong of course as it did happen from time to time but she had a strong hunch although the thought sparked her curiosity once more. If he was something to do with Jack then how on Zeltron did he end up here? It was a puzzle and she wanted to find out one way of the other as it would simply drive her nuts if she didn't find out. There was no harm in asking after all.

"You ever met a crazy looking guy who runs around like a circus performer? You look just like him."

Neo then chuckled, sipping his juice, "I'm sure I wouldn't."

As Sarisha mentioned she was half human and half Zeltron he then perked a brow. No wonder he felt the way he did at this point. Again, wasn't the worst thing but his anxiety around people needed to lessen anyways. Neo was beginning to understand how to live in the galaxy and live as being a Jedi. He was also against being anything that the Sith, or for that matter, his template, Jack. The mad clown stood for everything that was chaos and death. Which Neo was his polar opposite, as Jack could be very social and charming, while Neo was more reserved and quiet most of the time. Neo was pale white and green haired like the clown, the red eyes obviously and everything else but the permanent grin stuck on his face.

It was then that Neo said out loud, "Zeltron huh? A friend of mine mentioned that planet. Said it was nothing but a party. Guess that's alright for some. Me...not so much. Drifter's was bad enough."

That part was true. Drifter's was an interesting place with it's casinos and the like. All the shops, and even medical stations there. Which was where Neo got his facial surgery to make himself more unique to Jack. Of course he couldn't completely change his face, but he got rid of the permanent grin. Everything else he'd have to deal with. Though Neo was finally getting comfy in his own skin, and attuning himself to the Force now that he knew where he'd belong. To champion himself as the opposite of the Sith Lord he was cloned after. As Sarisha mentioned him he then sighed.

Somehow he knew that'd come up and he then looked over at her and blinked his red eyes, his tone serious, "Jack? Yeah. I know him. Suffice to say we're like...brothers. Or that's what he'd called it. I'd stay away from him...he's dangerous. He'd kill you because that's what he does. Jack is pure chaos...I would know..."

He trailed off as he then looked down at the tattoo on his arm of the number '1' inked into his skin in black. Sighing once more he then shoveled in a few more fries before he then washed it down with the rest of his juice. Now it was time for a drink, at least it was for him. Waving Tom over he then pointed to a ale and said that he wanted that. Tom then nodded and grabbed it for him and opened it and set it down in front of him.

"A non stop party sounds about right," the Vixen replied in answer to his comments about Zeltros, "It's an absolute whirlwind of drink, dancing and non stop se.....sensations. I first went there when I was just a kid to meet my in law's and I've been a regular since. Spent most of my child hood on the road with my father, who traded in exotic beasts. I got the tail and ears from him."

He was gone now, killed in a bar brawl although Sarisha had moved on from her grief long ago. He'd taught her what she needed to survive and the rest she'd picked up from her relatives on her mother's side. She was a potent mix of Zeltron, Amaran and Human blood but oddly enough, she didn't use any of those to describe herself. No, she simply referred to herself as Vulpine, as cunning as a Fox and twice as pretty.

She rose an eyebrow as he answered her question about Jack and then smirked a little. There was something more to it then that and honestly, Sarisha had the suspicion that Jack hadn't been born in the usual way at all. There was something about him that just screamed chaos. It was as if he was evil personified and there was hardly any humanity in him at all. A question to ask him one day perhaps but for now, she was more curious about his so called brother.

"Would it surprise you to learn that he has been teaching me the ways of the Sith?
" she asked, taking a sip of her drink after asking her question. The Vixen had no problem with revealing her dark side connections, even if she was on the Jedi homeworld.

Neo wasn't shocked to hear the whole part about "intimacy" because again his friend Desiree put it that way. The rest he figured he'd find out if he ever went there. Obviously he'd have to go there and keep trying to get past his anxiety and social awkwardness. But, Neo was just quiet and he was content with himself for that reason at this point in his short life. Not really having a normal life at all the clone was more or less like a teenager still trying to find his bearings. It was tough on him but he was managing, some how. Of course he'd only been intimate with a few women thus far and if he never did again he was fine with that. Not that he wanted to attach himself to anyone these days. All Neo was attached to was his training and trying to right the wrong and do better then his template.

"Something I may check out when I can." Neo stated as he then took a sip of his own drink.

It was then that Sarisha stated Jack was teaching her the ways of the Sith, and he almost choked on the sip he took. Though that shouldn't have surprised him at all. There was something about her that seemed odd, but, now that she blatantly put it out there then it hit him. But, she didn't seem as evil as his template, so that she had going for her. As long as she kept her distance away from him whenever she wasn't training, that was what Neo hoped for. Jack would kill anyone and do anything just because he could. He reveled in chaos and spreading it was his specialty. So he then turned his red eyed gaze back at her and then shrugged.

"It shouldn't surprise me that he is...but...I guess it did." The clone stated, "Jack isn't what you call...normal. Neither am I. We're the same...yet different. In truth, I'd be thrown away if I hadn't awoken. Does life begin when it's created...or is life begun when it's first conscious thought occurs? I've asked that question many times. I'd also seen what acts he's committed."

Neo seemed to talk in a riddle at that moment. Sure, he could have blatantly stated he was a clone of Jack but if Sarisha was smart enough she'd read between the lines of what he'd said. Although Neo should have known to introduce himself. Again a thing that normal people do is introduce themselves and he was forgetting the duties of being a person. Being social or whatever it was and he then inclined his head and drank a few gulps of his drink before setting it down.

"Sorry, I'm forgetting social protocol...my name is Neo." He stated.

"A question that you might want to ask those boring old fossils in the Temple," Sarisha replied with a grin, "Philosophy is all that they seem to be good at."

Although she said it in a joking manner, there was a look of distaste that briefly crossed her features. Truth be told, the Vulpine had a grudge against the Jedi or at least, those who ran the faction. She had heard of how the Order treated tended to treat their students and in her opinion, it was far worse than how those among the Sith were treated. At least the Sith had the freedom to do as they pleased, where as the Jedi couldn't so much as have a drink without being lectured by their Master. How did she know of this? Her blonde friend had told her so, having spent some time among the Order herself. Her stories had completely sickened the Vixen and had surprisingly made her feel protective over her fun loving friend. The girl didn't have the emotions necessary to hate them for it but Sarisha did, even if she rarely showed it.

When he introduced himself to her, Sarisha chuckled, having the same bad habit as him. Half the time, she never even got as far as names at all when meeting people. She was a girl of impulse and desire after all and most people she met were similar in that respect.

"I'm Sarisha and as for being normal, the hell with that," she then said after taking another draught from her bottle, "Those who are normal only end up being miserable, dull and insufferable. Give me weirdos like Jack any day, at least he lives his life his way."

She did catch on to what he had said about his relationship with Jack and the Vulpine looked him in the eye before answering,

"You're a clone, aren't you? Created by those long necked aliens maybe?"

Neo shrugged, "I'm not one for philosophy. I just do what I think and feel is right. Everyone has their own morals and philosophy."

In that moment he thought of Desiree and how care free and fun loving she was. On the inside it made Neo grin because she'd taught him in ways how to be social and try to warm up to people. Of course, Neo wasn't as open as she was with who she was but he could take a few cues from his fun loving friend. She'd been the first he'd gotten intimate with and understood that he really didn't know anything. When he first arrived he was just this shy and paranoid guy, who was afraid of anything and everything. The only things that Neo had known of were from recordings and stuff he watched and read in Jack's ship, which was parked not far off from here. So he thought of his friend and then took the thought away as he then gulped down more. Swallowing it he then tasted it's bitterness which wasn't a horrible thing.

"Nice to meet you Sarisha." Neo said as he then laughed at her comment about being normal, of course a reference to Jack was put in there, "I suppose your right. Who or what is normal really? I've heard that question before. Asked it myself."

As she'd asked if he was a clone he then shook his head. Catching her gaze as she said it he then took another swig and then another before the empty bottle rested onto the bar. Neo was indeed a clone and his name and the tattoo on his arm would give that away. Especially the similar features and the way their height was. Everything about the two was nearly the same, granted Jack was more twisted looking and had a bit of a different face.

"Yeah, I'm a clone. A clone Jack had ordered." He said after a pause, "If you want something over on him...he's afraid of death. From what I know Sith aren't afraid to have something on someone else. They use that to an advantage...some...power struggle or whatnot. Something I'd understood and read of the Sith in the old days."

She found his open mindedness refreshing and respected his point of view. Truthfully, she'd expected him to simply try and ram the Jedi code down her throat or attempt to persuade her to switch sides. That was the impression she had of the Order and it was a relief to know that perhaps not all of them were like. Perhaps it was just those who had been members for a long time, the ones that her friend had felt betrayed by. It made sense when Sarisha thought about it. In any organisation, it was those at the top who had all the power and those underneath just struggled to climb the ladder. It was definitely that way for the Sith although the Vulpine wouldn't say that it had been all that difficult for her. She'd taken to the Force like a duck to water and had already completed her first stage of training. Something that she was quite proud of.

"Don't lose that open mindedness Neo," she said with a smile, "No matter how hard they may try and strip you of it. A friend of mine refused to fully believe what they did and they made her life miserable for it."

His words about Jack caused her to twitch her ear again with interest. She hadn't thought that the clown would be afraid of anything, let alone his own destruction. He behaved in such a violent and random way that she was surprised that he hadn't killed himself already if she was honest.

"I admit that I haven't thought much about getting one over on him but I appreciate the information," she then said after taking another sip of her drink, before asking, "So, what caused you to join the Jedi then instead of following him to the Sith?"

He then smiled back at her when she spoke of not losing his open mindedness, "I'll try not to. A friend of mine is the reason I am doing what I can to fit into the galaxy. She showed me how to be...social. I'm not really that social. Just trying to fit into my own. Haven't been outside of the world of Kamino for too long. Just long enough to get my bearings of how the galaxy works."

That part was true as he'd stated. Neo hadn't been out of the tanks and off Kamino for more then a few months. Finally getting used to being able to freely go where he wished and do things he was starting to lose his awkwardness. Day by day more or less but it was starting to fade. No longer was he this frightened adult or teenage minded and he could finally adapt to what was going on around him. Though Neo was still frightened of new people, the pheromones helped. Not that he wanted them to, he just knew that he was being more social then he was quite used to by this point.

As Sarisha mentioned the info he gave her and why he joined the Jedi instead of the Sith he then shrugged, "I suppose the reason is that I'm the opposite of him. I've seen everything he's done. The Force has granted me that before I knew what it was. Being stuck on Kamino that long in a tank with conscious thought without the scientists knowing of it. I'm the first one who was cloned from him."

He then showed her the number "1" on his arm tattooed into it then retreated it away, then continued, "He wants me dead. I am not supposed to be alive. A blank slate is what I'm supposed to be. A vessel for his consciousness to go into when he dies. Like I said, he wants to escape death. Jack wasn't who he is now. He was much different. He's born from chaos and darkness itself. From the Force he grew and when the person exhausted that dark part of themselves, Jack spawned. Well, what he used to be. That part is long gone. Now he's something much more sinister...much more chaotic. He's the chaos of the Force itself...or maybe that's my opinion. I want to right the things he's done. Do something decent and good to counter balance his actions. Maybe I'll never fully do it but I can at least try to."

"Hmm, reminds me of the girl who I know. The one who had to leave the Jedi," Sarisha pondered, "She was a counsellor type who tried to help those in need although her methods were a little more open than most Jedi. Always a flirt and always fun to be around. Could never turn your back on her though as she has wandering hands, just like me..."

As she spoke, her tail or "third hand" innocently began to lightly rub against his leg.

She glanced at his arm as Neo showed it to her and tilted her head although her expression didn't show any sign of disgust. It did help her to understand his tale a little better though as the pieces fell in to place and definitely answered his question as to why he hadn't joined the Sith. Having the rampant clown as an enemy wasn't something that she would want although a part of her knew that Jack was cunning enough to wait. Neo would have to leave the Temple at some time, right? The Vixen didn't have to say it out loud though and she knew that Neo was probably as aware of it as she was. Mind you, she hadn't actually seen any of her teachers rages or moments of madness yet and it was pretty much just rumours and hearsay at the moment. He'd had his odd moments during her training but she couldn't say that he'd been insane.

"Cleaning up after him is no easy task," the Vulpine replied, "I haven't seen him lose his temper yet but I hear that he just annihilates everything in sight when he does. Kind of a whirlwind of destruction who doesn't give a damn about who or what he harms. I guess when you think about everything that a Sith is supposed to be, you end up with him."

Finishing her drink and asking Tom for another, she then added,

"I imagine that he'd try again or have back ups when it comes to making clones. Is there a chance that their might be other clones of him running around as you are?"

Neo then heard what Sarisha said about her friend who'd left the Jedi. If that was any inclination it had to be Desiree, but again, he couldn't completely confirm or deny that. As the Vulpine mentioned you couldn't turn your back on her as her hands tended to wander as her own he then felt her tail rub against him. It didn't tickle like it would have most people but he felt the sensation of it on his leg and his smile then widened. Not like the clown of course but he then ordered another drink as Tom came by. The barkeep then brought him another of the same and opened it for him before Neo took a swig of it and set it down. Shaking his head but chuckling at the same time he knew that Desiree was around somewhere. If only in spirit at this point.

"Yeah I get the feeling we're talking about the same person." Neo said with a chuckle, "I'm sure you have many uses for that tail of yours."

When she spoke of Jack and cleaning up after him not being easy he nodded. He'd seen what things Jack had done and the things he'd seen of the clown losing his temper and that put him off of being like that. Though the part about annihilating everything and everyone he sees was true. The clown killed whoever he felt like killing at that moment and it wasn't against his nature to just snap at a moments notice. Neo found that rather creepy and psychotic but that was Jack for you. Jack was simply and utterly chaos incarnate. That was just being simple on that topic.

"That's true, he's just a killer. An assassin. The scientists and guards on Kamino thought I was him and vice versa. From what I'd heard someone in the Sith went and rescued him. That's when you probably saw him. Not long after he'd come back. I have his ship and I know at some point he'll want it back. For now, I'm gonna do what I can with it." Neo said with a shrug on that as Tom gave her another and he then answered about the clones, "No. I was the only one who awoke. From what I heard he had neural chips implanted so they have no brain activity. Of course...I was the first. He didn't think of that nor did the cloning facility."
