When the tear tainted her cheek, he reached up to wipe it away with his thumb. His chest puffed with pride as his own held breath was expelled. Her arms going around his neck made him forget all his fears as he wrapped his free arm around her to hold her close. "I'm glad you like it, Jahz," he whispered against her hair. "And I promise we will celebrate later." He slowly, and reluctantly, let her go and caressed her hair back from her face once more.

He took this moment to just look at her. When he knew he couldn't wait any more, or he'd just end up taking her back to bed, he finally gave her the last tidbit. "And I was late because we are going to dinner to hopefully hook up with an informant with information about what we are seeking." He smiled and let the information sink in. Yes, she was getting dolled up for his benefit, but also because a private high class dinner was a better cover and meeting place than a seedy bar on the lower levels of the station.

She raised a skeptical eyebrow. In a free port with no real social structure, just people coming together to do business, and hide from the law the idea of anything upscale being here was ludicrous. But some people had their own entrepreneurial ideas. Someone could probably pull it off. Though they'd have to be a special kind of enterprising to do it here. And more dangerous than a Hutt.

"What exactly are you getting us into," she said, sobering immediately. Her gaze was laser-focused on him now, chin tilted down subtly, as though readying for a physical fight. It was a subtle physical cue, but there was no indication of impending violence, only that this turn of events registered as a potential threat to her.

When she stiffened and gave him that look, he tightened his grip and pulled her hard back against his body, "Easy there, little minx. I'm not getting us into anything. I found the informant. He's offered to tell us the location of the ship with the data on it for a price." She may be the Captain of the ship, but it was his strength he wanted her to rely on. She had to learn not everything was life threatening.

He released his hold so she could move out of his grip if she wished. "He thinks I'm looking for a lover that did me wrong. I dropped the ship's name a few places and got the invite to a high end dinner place near the apex. I figured a few extra cred spent on dinner would go a long way. And then we bring him back here," he nodded to the ship, "and we head off for the cargo." He slowly dropped his hand once he knew she wouldn't fall from the suddenly tightening and releasing of his hold on her. He did lean down before completely letting go and kissed the top of her nose and wriggling his eyebrows. "Now, go get dolled up. We have reservations in an hour." He swatted her *** as he passed her to head deeper into the ship and to his own room.

She gave him a dubious look then shook her head. "Well, that jives with some of what I heard," she said with a sigh. "Though I think there were too many guys just looking to get me drunk, hoping they might get lucky." She bent down and picked up the box, then gestured to the case he had in his hand. "Pick up a new toy or something," she asked, backing into the ship proper.

It didn't surprise him that she had been doing the same 'searching' as himself. "Well, I'm glad we are both enjoying ourselves." He laughed and held up the box before ducking into his room. "New pistol and knife. You'll see in time, I'm sure... now scoot!" He laughed and closed his door to get changed into his own high end attire.

Less than 15 minutes later, Dar was in the main common room having a fruit juice. He was wearing a pair of form fitting black slacks with a silver jacket and white button up shirt that was open at the neck (*). Leaning on the counter watching the door, he seemed less a pirate and more a con man. But it was the first time she had seen this long coat on him and he hoped she liked it.

Jahzra trounced off to her room and quickly doffed her clothes and gear to change into the dress. She stuffed her holdout pistol and shiv, credit stick, and a few other odds and ends into a small clutch, then grabbed a silk drape that matched to complete the outfit. After a few minutes she had her hair pulled into an artfully messy updo secured with a pair of durasteel sticks that would double as weapons in a pinch. From there she added some cosmetics, darkening her lips and shaping her cheekbones a little and enhancing her eyes, but not so much as she might fora late evening look.

Dressed to kill, figuratively and literally, she made her way back out to the common area. The transformation only took a few minutes, and once out there, in a pair of strappy but functional shoes she gave a pirouette that flared the hem of her dress for a moment and flashed him a smile. "Voila."

As he straightened she noted the cut of the suit and combination of lights and darks along with his build and skintone and found her face heating a little with a mild blush, accompanied by a small puff of pheromones, made evident by the tingling of her skin. "Wow yourself though," she said, gesturing toward him.

Dar heard her before he saw her. But as she stepped in, he still felt caught off guard as if she'd snuck up on him. He had no problem letting her see every approving and desirous emotion that flickered across his face. When her pheramones flared, a small growl of barely reined control vibrated thru his chest as he reached up to curl a strategic stray hair around his finger only to release it once more. "Wow, yourself. It's a good thing I'm aware I can kiss you later, or we'd be getting *another* replacement for that dress and our contact would be blown off."

With a small chuckle, knowing how his own body and nearness affected her, he offered his arm. "Come on, Captain. Work first, play later." He winked a teasing smile and moved to escort her to dinner and their contact.

Jahzra looped her arm through his, unable to keep a pleased smile from her face. The dress clung to her in all the right ways, and as much as she loved the feel of it against her skin, part of her wanted her boots, pants, and nerfhide jacket back. Those were more like her skin. And offered some protection, whereas the thin cloth could only protect her modesty at best. Not that she cared so much about that either.

It didn't take long to traverse the length and breadth of the station till they reached a place with enough security to make a Hutt proud. Dar dropped a name and they were grudgingly admitted inside. While it was still a place fit for hood rats and the underground, oddly enough there was an upscale feel to the place that could almost make you second guess where you were.

A man came up to Dar and swiftly took them to a private booth with a view of the spaceport below. Soon they were sipping their chosen drinks when another man approached the table. "You are Dar? I heard you seek information." He deferred to Dar as the one in charge, but his eyes wandered in leery gaze, now and then, to the stunning woman at his side. "Perhaps your woman would like to powder her nose while we talk?" He gave a slight bow as if in suggesting such a thing he was being gallant rather than merely dismissing her.

Dar gave a small snicker and paused a moment to see how his 'woman' would respond to such a suggestion.

As they made their way into the venue, Jahzra took a moment to note guard positions and what she could tell about their weapons. The outlines of which were visible from beneath their clothing. A surreptitious glance revealed holocams covering the entrances and exits, but not the main areas. Most guests here didn't want their activities recorded. But one did need to keep track of comings and goings. Still, any employer worth their spice would likely have hidden recording devices in a few places to catch certain illicit activities. Whether for documentation or blackmail might depend on the moment.

Jahzra was enjoying drinks with Dar. Her posture was relaxed, one thigh crossed over the other, foot bouncing lightly. She'd spent plenty of time in this kind of environment. Granted it was usually a seedy bar, rather than an upscale dining experience. It didn't change the fact they were both full of sharks and weasels.

As their contact made his entrance then made the suggestion she leave, she turned her gaze to Dar. A slow smile spread across her full, pouty lips. The mirth didn't quite reach her eyes, though they took on a knowing quality. He'd just made a dangerous assumption. She considered her options. Everything from sticking her blaster in his fool mouth, to taking his guard's blaster and doing the same, to simply making her way to the fresher in demure fashion.

Playing the game could work into their advantage. Even though she had sway over most humanoids, males especially. She could use that to her advantage too. But pulling out of the negotiation could mean she was free to do other things. Or give them a tactical advantage. Then again, if he thought she was viable as a hostage if this went sideways. She knew Dar had feelings for her. It would be a factor. But if yesterday had proven anything, she did too. And it worked out pretty well so far.

"The woman is fine," she said pleasantly, turning her attention back to their host, "but thank you for asking." She didn't like the attempt to split them up, but it was more likely because they thought this was the ol' boys club. Either way, it made her trigger fingers itchy. The zeltron turned her attention back to Dar and flashed him a dazzling smile, scrunching up her nose in a way that was just over the top cute. But turned away from them, her eyes shifted into annoyance, then a question with a raised eyebrow. Do you think I should go anyway?

Dar laughed and patted her leg, careful to make it brief so she didn't think he was mocking her. "She stays with me. I don't trust her around the men in here."

The man lifted the edge of his lips in a wry grin. "Afraid your little morsel will wander on you?" He glanced back at Dar as if sizing up his abilities to keep his woman happy.

The laugh on Dar's face fell and he shrugged as he lifted his glass and spoke non-chalantly over the rim before taking a sip. "No, I'm afraid she'll kill someone." He said it with the same lilt of voice as if he were mentioning a bet on a bantha race.

The man suddenly looked at Jahz with the eye of a hunter and wondered if perhaps he had misread his *prey*. "I see..." He then blinked as if he had lost a moment of time, replaced his faux grin and pulled a chair over from a nearby vacant table. Soon as he sat down, he glanced at the pair once more. He had shifted on business mode and it was obvious. "Well, now... let's talk. You are looking for information. What are you offering for it?" While he was almost ignoring Jahz at this point, any trained eye would notice he kept her within his vision and kept himself an escape route, rather than scooting into the cozy nook the couple was flanking and sharing.

At this, Jahzra flashed a dazzling and pleased smile as she took a sip of her drink. "Oh it would only be a little bit. i just got this dress. It'd be a shame for it to get ruined like the last one," she said to Dar in an aside.

As they settled down to business, she took another sip of her drink, amused by the wariness in their host. For now, she let Dar do the talking. He'd either manage fine, or would get himself into a tight spot. Better to let the other guy run his head. First person to name a price in negotiation, usually wound up being the loser anyway.

Dar laughed and patted her leg once more before turning back to their guest. "See what I mean?" He shrugged as if to say what can you do?

In checking out the room, Jahz and Dar would both easily pick up the two men hovering, seemingly without purpose, yet always close enough to put them with the mysterious contact. After several seconds, Dar smiled. "If you know we are looking for info, then you know what we want. You can either cough it up, or you can walk. I'm not gonna waste my time here listening to back ended promises and riddles of who, when and where." He added a bit of an edge to his voice and nodded to the guys he had made. "And I'm telling you now, I can afford a dress replacement if she gets antsy and feels we're being played." He made a sly leering grin at the hint that he would set Jahz loose on his boys if he was being played.

"I'm sure it won't come to anything that drastic. Would be a shame, indeed, to ruin such a lovely dress." He glanced at Jahz with a complimentary nod and looks back to Dar before it became inappropriate. “I know you are seeking the name of someone that the Hutt wishes to see. And that you seek what he took. If I am wrong, tell me now. If I am right, we cannot talk here. I want to go to your ship.” He made the final comment in a way that gave them both cause to think that he wasn't going to say anything more unless his demand was met.

Dar frowned slightly and glanced silently at Jahz. It was her ship and he may have been the assumed leader in this little conference, but he wasn't going to presume to take it further than that. At least... not without her permission.

Jahra considered as she watched the man. She picked up cockiness covering apprehension. Though he had a good sabaac face, he knew he was in over his head. For now, he was trying to maintain a facade of control. She looked to Dar as she gave him a smile that said Follow my lead. She was fairly certain he would, as his captain, and more. There was a level of trust, though what she had in mind might upset his sensibilities a little.

”I think going back to the ship sounds like a marvelous idea,” she practically purred. Slipping out of the booth, she stood and offered her hand to the slimeball. She flashed him a dazzling smile as he took it. She drew him to his feet, and then tucked into his side, arm around his waist very much like a lover’s would be. She extended her hand to Dar to draw him to the other side of her. It put her in the middle and maybe vulnerable. But that close, she doubted the man would have anything in mind but leading with the smaller of his brains.

Her skin began to tingle as she focused on her pheromones. Many times a reaction would cause her to emanate them on her own. But she did have some control over them, like a Falleen. “I think we should make an evening of it,” she purred suggestively as she began to escort the two of them out, ignoring the bodyguards, or seeming to.

As they walked she felt a hand drift to her hip and then bottom surreptitiously from their guest. She tilted her head and gave him a look sidelong with a small smile. For now, he could get away with touching her like that. Whatever it took to get him back to the ship without incident. In another lifetime she might have leaned into his amorous attention more, but for now, it was just a ruse. But she still played the part.

Realizing he was caught, he swallowed but seeing her expression only felt emboldened, though he slipped his hand back around her waist as well. Jahz drew Dar down to her and murmured in his ear, “Let it ride. You can kill him later if the Hutts want him dead.” She kissed his cheek. “Ignore him, trust me.”

Dar watched the slight shift in Jaz and smiled inwardly. She was perfect, he thought to himself.

When his little minx rose and seduced the man from his seat, then turned to him, he tossed a cred stick on the table and joined the pair. His hand went around her shoulder so it wouldn't be near the other man's arm. He wanted to be able to move himself, or her, if it became necessary.

The man rose without hesitation and slipped his around around her waist without additional prompting. "I think that sounds like a great way to spend the night." He let the smile drop just a touch as Dar rose to take her up on the other side. With thought's of letting her know he was interested, and let Dar know he didn't care she was with him, he slid his hand down and lightly cupped her tight bottom. His smile once more brightened on his face as they headed out. The two thugs following with another small group that left when they did.

As the man copped a feel, Dar's hand reflexively tightened. But when Jaz rose up on near tip toe to kiss him and ask for his trust, he merely nodded. Then whispered softly as they parted, "With my life."

He then dropped his arm and moved a bit ahead of them to tap the door for the lift that would take them back to the hanger. He wanted her to have time to lay her seeds in the man's mind. It also gave him a chance to see who had followed them from the bar.

When Dar pulled away, the man leaned down and kissed Jaz's neck with a soft whisper, "You know... if I don't have to share, I am sure my tongue will wag much more freely." His lips pressed to her shoulder, slightly parted, so his tongue could tease a moment in suggestion. He laughed softly and stood back up as they came closer to the lift.
