The Dream was the same, silent throughout, from a younger prospective and with a known ending. A pale man wrapped his arms around the dreamer before throwing her across the room as a mass of metal came crashing down upon him leaving only his hand behind.

Tearful eyes looking up as a bar of blue light caught her attention as a look of disgust snapped the dreamer awake.**

Taking in a deep gasp Tasha shot up in her bed, a small blaster pistol in her hand as she slowly realized where she was. "Not again..." she said to herself as she touched the old scar on her face after lowering the weapon.

Getting out of bed the pale skinned Nagai/human hybrid grabbed a small data pad that served as her journal and began writing in it. "It's the same dream over and over, why do i keep reliving that moment? It was over a decade ago, the doctor said it would help writing about it. I've been writing for almost as long. I am starting to think this is all pointless."

She tossed the pad upon a part laden desk. Mostly just random bits of random tech, a few utility knives, spanners, torches and other things useful to a tinkerer.

Now cracking her fingers she got dressed* and prepared for work, those ships won't fix themselves. Sliding in her jumpsuit before strapping her tools and stowing her holdout blaster on her person. She was ready.

Most of the day had mundane and minor fixes some acrobatics helpped Tash dart from place to place along the hulls of ships and seemingly quick reflexes helped her catch some falling tools and* avoid small debris from incoming ships. Almost like she possessed a sixth sense.

Jacob had been notified of a potential Force user by those in the Inquisition. The group who scoured the galaxy for those who had potential in the Force and those who had potential to become part of the Penumbra. With that being said, Jacob would go himself and talk with this girl. See if she was up to the task of being in the Dark Jedi. If not, he would go about his way, as she would do the same no doubt. Plus, he had the advantage of being masked and she wouldn't see his real face. Until he wanted it to be seen. Smiling he made his way to where she was working at, having to get direction to where the space port was specifically that she was at. The Dark Jedi Master subtle use of the Force to persuade others was there and he then smirked as he saw her going about her work. Catching equipment and the like he then felt some small pull of the Force. It was present and he knew that she had the potential.

It was faint as if she wasn't aware of it totally. Jacob made his way to the ship she was working on and looked at it. Chuckling out loud he made his presence known, the metallic voice in his mask was there and disguised his actual voice, "Nice ship here. Must take plenty of time to work on one of these. Nice catch, I saw that. That tool didn't even have a chance to hit the floor."

He then circled around for a moment before coming back to see her in full view. He noted that she wasn't completely human. A light shade of blue, which meant she was a Nagai, not that it concerned him. There were plenty of non-human Dark Jedi in the Penumbra. Also there were human and humanoid creatures among the Dark Jedi. They were not discriminant at all. In this day and age it was privy not to be. They needed all the members they could get, it seemed.

Tasha applied a magnetic tether to the hull and* attached the other end to her harness allowing the hybrid to plant her feet on the hull and bend back to view the being below her as he came back around. Her faded facial scar giving her near pitch dark eyes an increased presence.

"Thanks, working here can give one a sense when something is about to fall on them. these also can be quite expensive for a worker." She said wagging the fallen plasma torch in her hand. "I'll have to extort my next drink from the moron who dropped this." Her tone was low but not malevolent. More sounding emotionally drained.

Using the magnetic tether to lower herself to the floor Tasha looked the masked being before her. "Hm, has anyone ever told you that you kinda look like the serial killer from a holonet show? Something about blasters and slugthrowers or some such." Tasha said whipping the sweat from her forehead.

"So what can I do for you? If you need a ship repaired you're supposed to contact the main administration." She motioned over her shoulder at a lone tower off in the not to far distance. "Well unless you wanted me specifically. I mean I try to do good work so I can get out of here." Tasha pressed a button and the tether snapped off and fell into her hand.c

Jacob chuckled at that comment, "I get that. Probably a good reason I don't work on ships then. I'd probably drop many things up there."

Watching her lower herself down and then make the comment about a serial killer on a holonet show he then shook his head and laughed. It was quite a funny reference to make and sure, his mask probably made it seem that way. Not that he didn't need humor once in a while. Sometimes it was good to laugh. Least it kept things here smooth and not tense like some of the ones he'd met, and how those meetings went. As she wiped sweat off her forehead he then clasped his hands behind his back. It was then that Tasha mentioned the repairs and then motioned to the administration building. Waving it off he wasn't here for that. There was something else entirely he was here for. Her potential with the Force.

"No, I'm not here for that. But, I am here to talk with you specifically." He then said through the voice changer in his mask.

He then paced back and forth before settling on standing a distance of ten feet from her. Jacob looked her over and then kept his orange eyed gaze upon her and then wondered if she had any weird things happen to her that she couldn't explain. Which, in turn, could be the Force showing it's presence. Like he felt before he could sense some small amount within her, though it was in everything. It was just more present in others with greater count of midichlorians and such. Hopefully, she had a higher count then most objects in the universe.

"So you want to leave this place?" Jacob asked, "I believe I may be able to assist with that. But...I have another question to ask. Have you had strange things happen to you...that you couldn't explain with reason...or science?"

"For me specifically huh? Did my treatment specialist refer you to me?" Tasha actually been through Several mental health specialists since that day long ago,* so this would have numbed her from the sudden change. "Well this could be a good thing. Yes i want to get out of here, have you known anyone who truly likes work aside from those Sith butchers and Jedi killers."

Tasha anger flared as she mentioned both the factions . "Anything out of the ordinary huh? Well objects in my bunk move around when i am sleeping sometimes, i guess also some times when i reach for things they shake a little. But i always thought those were just people messing with me."

Jacob shook his head, "No, I came here of my own accord."

When Tasha mentioned it could be a good thing, Jacob smiled for a moment though she wouldn't see it due to the mask he wore on his face. But, it was good that she answered she wanted to leave this place and do something else. He felt the sudden change of anger in her as she mentioned the Jedi and Sith. Anger was a good thing, for using the Dark Side, but to have balance between both was good. It would keep her from being consumed by one side or the other. Least that was what he taught to his students that balance between both was a good thing as one could use passion and anger and anchor themselves with peace, and serenity. To a degree anyway.

Jacob then clasped his hands again behind his back, as she then mentioned what had happened to her and then spoke, "Well, I'm here to tell you that people aren't messing with you. You speak low of the Jedi and Sith...why is that?"

"The Jedi and Sith took everything from me!" Tasha said through grit teeth as she tried to calm herself. "A jedi Killed my father and a Sith did the same to my mother not too long after. Even gave me this scar." She said tracing the dark area of her face her her left index and ring fingers. "A permanent mark* of my weakness."

Rage, sorrow, pain and hate roiled within her like a storm but at it's eye Tasha focused clearly* on the man before her. "Who are you and why did you seek me out?" The maelstrom of emotion whipped around inside causing some nearby tools and droids tremble in place.

"Another quake?" She said offhandedly while looking around as the trembling slowed to a complete halt.

Jacob looked at the scar as she rose in anger and he felt that. A small smile formed his lips as he then knew she had much potential within her, but that it would need to be focused. With that he paced back and forth and looked at the scar once again. It wasn't a sign of weakness to him, it was a sign of being through something and it changing you, for the better. Same happened to him, many a time. Things happened that changed his outlook on life, and that was what lead him to Ruusan. So with that he kept his pace back and forth.

When Tasha asked who he was and why he sought her out he then stopped and his orange eyes under the mask caught her gaze, "I am someone who may offer you a chance to further yourself. Far away from this place. I have my ways of seeking out those who have much to offer. Besides fixing ships, of course."

Seeing the tools and droids tremble in place he then grinned wide. Another sign of potential, that just needed focus so that it didn't consume her. Darkness was one thing, but letting it consume you left you down a path to destruction for the sole purpose of it. That was what the way of the Sith was, and he had observed it first hand, and done it himself at one time in his life. For he was also a Jedi as well, many many years ago. Those times seemed a distant memory to him now.

"No, that was not a quake." Jacob said putting his hand up, "That...was the Force. You have potential...a gift as it were. What you do now with it is up to you. I offer you a chance to do what those in the Jedi and Sith will not. Jedi fight for what they believe is the good of all. Though, selfish as it may be they do not act when they should. Sith...blind to rage and destruction for the sole purpose of it...that is not what this galaxy needs. I offer you...somewhere in between. Where you are free to express raw emotion, that the Jedi do not, and the Sith blind themselves with."

He then smiled and continued, "I am neither Jedi nor Sith. I am a Dark Jedi. Using the Force to do what is necessary. Even if it means the death of hundreds...millions...for the sake of everything and everyone else."

"Dark... Jedi..." Tasha repeated the words but felt their weight as she started to draw in calming deep breaths.* "All this was me? And i never knew it?" She said taking in what she had been told. "You said you act fist for the galaxy. But I want to save as many as i can as well. If i were to go with you I cannot promise i will be able to take an innocent life." Tasha spoke her next words with conviction. "But if you offer me a chance to wound the jedi the sith or any of their allies... I will take that chance and never look back."

Tasha looked at her hand before closing it into a fist. "So what now? Do i just follow you? There are a few things in my bunk i need to grab if this is really happening."

Jacob then looked to her with his orange eyes as he felt her calming herself down, "Yes, that was indeed you. You might have just thought about it in a more scientific way than thinking it was the Force. Which is admirable. Sometimes science is an answer...though the rest of the time it isn't as easy to write off as just science and nature itself."

Looking to the ship and then back at her he then heard her say that she couldn't promise to take an innocent life, but, she might have to at some point. Not everyone was as innocent as they appeared. There was darkness in all people, and humanoids and even creatures for that matter. It's just what you did with that inner darkness was what mattered. Try to turn it into a weapon for a better tomorrow? Or else use it just for the pure sake of destruction? Those were questions that one had to ask themselves.

"You may not need to promise...but...at some point you may have to make the hard decision to do so. It's either one life...or a hundred...or thousand and so on and so forth. Would you risk just one life being saved if it meant that thousands or so others perish? Jedi do not make these decisions and it has cost lives because they didn't think they should or didn't have the stomach to do it. Then the Sith destroy and murder just because it's...fun." He put it simply.

As she asked if she was to follow he then nodded, though he understood that she wished to grab things if she was to go. Truth be told she would leave her old life behind. That was the way of the Dark Jedi. Their old lives were no more. A new life was beginning and Jacob had to forget a lot of his past as both a Sith and Jedi at one point in his life. Though making that choice he didn't look back. He was much happier now than he'd ever been.

"I understand that. I did the same thing. But following me you leave everything else behind you. You do not reveal yourself as one of the Dark Jedi. We are secret. Watching...observing...and then doing what is right when the need arises. You understand?" He then said to her with a stern look in his eyes.

"Yes, I understand. All hush-hush." The Hybrid affirmed as she took her hold out blaster out and offered it to the man across from her. "Something to show a little trust. I will be back in a few standard minutes."

She said before sliding it across the floor at him and turning around to walk back to her bunk. A sturdy footlocker, some tools and a passenger's bag awaited her. Some raw components for what she needed, some mechanical parts and clothing. She managed to load it all into the bag. Returning to the place where she had met the Dark jedi. Ready to leave at his word.

Jacob nodded, "Exactly. Where we are going...they believe there are no Force users. So we blend in with them, and they don't even know who's really in charge."

It was then that Tasha offered her blaster to him and he watched it slide across the floor. Picking it up he then smirked at it as she left. At least she was honorable, he mused. Offering her own weapon to show a sign of trust. Not that he couldn't find her with those in the Inquisition running about in places that they didn't even think of. There were networks of those across the galaxy that observed those with potential. But, the galaxy as a whole was none the wiser and it would stay that way.

When Tasha came back with her things in hand he then motioned to the outside and when she followed behind him they went towards the next spaceport that was across the way. It was a ten minute walk, but Jacob walked in silence. When they got into the port, he then went to a shuttle sitting by itself. The ship before them was a medium sized shuttle enough for two pilots, and room enough for a small crew to board it. Banging his hand on the nose of the shuttle the hatch opened up as it hissed. As it fully opened up Jacob stepped inside and figured Tasha would follow.

Sitting down inside he then told the pilot to head back to Ruusan. Nodding they took off and once they were in the air, Jacob then looked at Tasha and smirked, "Well, Tasha this is the beginning of a new life. Nervous?"

Distinct metallic clinging could be heard as Tasha followed behind Jacob. Her eyes locked on the man before her. Though the walk was mostly quiet her mind ran through some details. "No. Perhaps a curved one would be best. Will need to supliment the weight difference. " she said to her self.

The shuttle was nice enough enough to get to planet B from planet A. "Who wouldn't be? A dark masked stranger come to wisk one away into a shadowy cabal. Would make any sane being so."

Jacob chuckled at that, "Good point. But as for the masked stranger part...let's fix that."

With that Jacob pulled the mask up and over his head taking it off and setting it beside him. Tasha would then see his actual face which he had a pronounced jaw line, dark orange hair, with a tint of grey around the temples, and had a slight length that went down to the base of where his shoulders were. His eyes on the other hand were orange and not the usual color of like blue or brown, or green even. His face had age and experience on it, as he was now almost in his mid-forties. Jacob was 44 to be exact. But he at times felt like that age and other times he still had a bit of a youthful bounce in his step. The Force aided with that mostly.

"We are heading to Ruusan. That is where you will call home." Jacob said in his normal voice, which was deep but not baritone like some, "It may take time to get used to. But, don't worry I'll help you along the way. But...you'll need a public persona. A job as it were. Since you're good with ships you can work in the shipyard."

Tasha gave an inquisitive hum as Jacob spoke. Though when he removed his mask she couldn't help but chuckle. "Well aren't you a distingished gent." She said placing her feet upon her bag. The contents shifting under her.

Now as he spoke again Tasha brought her hands up to her face, wove her fingers into eachother, and spoke. " That will be fine, I have a few more terms for you." She said in response of the job offering.

"I will not use a lightsaber, i have metal that can be forged into a blade. As well as parts for a slug thrower. I can make it myself. But I l will need training in saber to blade combat. I will work the other weapon into my fighting style myself. Does this sound amenable?"
